Pushing Back Against the Radical DSA And the Democrats Who Support the Socialist Ideology
The rise of the Democrat Socialists of America; its control over the Democratic Party — and its fascination among America’s young people — are real and immediate threats to America’s political and economic liberty as well as to our personal freedom, American values – and to the very existence of the United States of America as we know it.
We say this without exaggeration and with great concern for the future of our great nation.
The leftist doctrine of 19th and 20th centuries has been repackaged for consumption in the politically polarized 21 st Century. The DSA – and many mainstream Democrats, have rekindling the class warfare instigated by Karl Marx 157 years ago and practiced by a string of bloody dictators who claimed to be fighting for the working people On its website, the DSA proudly proclaims: “We believe that working people should run both the economy and civil
society.” Sounds familiar, doesn’t it. It should. Marx wrote in his Communist Manifesto in 1848, “Workers of the world, unite; you have nothing to lose but your chains.”
DSA’s working class theme is winning some converts among blue collar workers by highlighting the shortcomings of capitalism, such as income inequality, an ill- defined and often repeated “affordability crisis”. Added to their economic message, the socialist cling to “racism” as the great sin that America can never absolve itself from. Apparently, slavery in 18th and 19th centuries violates America’s right to exist in the 21st Century; never mentioned is the “Jim Crow” barriers to blacks that today’s Democrats rail against, occurred under Democrat control of the South.
The DSA’s rhetorical old-line communism, combined with race and gender issues has created a toxic stew that is gaining traction among some and scaring the heck out of others.
Ayaan Hirsi Ali, a research fellow at the Hoover Institution, wrote of the emerging neo socialism of 2020 — saying it has: “shifted gears from the more economically focused socialism of the twentieth century to one of the ideas of postmodernism and identity politics. This type of socialism rejects capitalism as immoral, along with notions of national borders and national sovereignty. “It condemns American history, emphasizing only the darkest pages of the U.S. experience, not the ideals to which the founding fathers aspired or which drew so many immigrants of all backgrounds over the years.

PREACHING DOOM AND GLOOM

The Democrat /socialist will never acknowledge this economic reality. Nor will they admit that “fairness” and “equity policies” in Blue states are hurting working people at the same time that Red state economies are thriving on less government interference.
Critical to the furthering of socialism is the generation of young people whose lack of historical knowledge creates the perfect breeding ground for activists clamoring for a cause that they know very little about. Gen Zers are often among those who have been sold on socialism as a cure for their economic disappointment and their outsized expectations. One survey reported that Gen Zers, on average, believe an annual salary of $587,797 and net worth of $9.47 million are needed when they envision “financial success.” Go for it.
Neosocialism appeals to young people – and those not so young – who are frustrated by their inability to have everything they want – the house, the cars, the vacations, the jobs that pay six figures. Entitlement has become part of the new “social justice.” It has fueled a culture of complaint that rests on personal disappointment, bad decisions, and jealousy.
Socialism’s solution to bad decisions, like enrolling in a college you cannot afford — is for other people to pay your tuition debt – and make college free.
Housing costs are a legitimate concern – but not one socialists can fix to anyone’s satisfaction. Young people are frustrated that the costs of an apartment or condominium in New York City, so they scream “unaffordability.” But there are options: live somewhere outside the city – no one is entitled to have two-bedroom apartment in Manhattan. Nevertheless, the socialist solution to housing affordability is to allow the government to take control of housing. But, government intervention in housing is one of the main reasons why housing costs have shot up. Regulations, permits, endless delays in building, all add to the cost of housing. High density requirements are a major reason young people cannot find an affordable single-family home. How more government intervention in housing will make it more affordable has yet to be seen.
HISTORIC FAILURES
The DSA’s prescription for a new “workers’ paradise” includes gutting the U.S. Constitution, remaking the U.S. Supreme Court into a liberal rubber stamp, overturn America’s electoral process, re-opening America’s borders, and allowing illegal migrants to vote.
It is well known that socialism has failed in every nation that has had the philosophy foisted upon it – with devastating consequences for “the people.” Take a look at the history of Cuba, Venezuela, China and the Soviet Union – all were destined to become worker-controlled paradises – all became oppressive, totalitarian regimes and economically backward.
Under Stalin’s reign private family farms were forcibly merged into state-run and collective farms resulting in grain shortages and famines. Manufacturing controlled by the government resulted in catastrophically lousy products that no one wanted to own – with one notable exception – the AK-47 automatic rifle.
American socialists demand that the people to be listened to – but once socialist seize power, things change. Inevitably, socialist regimes become totalitarian hell holes. Dissent is brutally silenced. Stalin is estimated to have killed between 10 million and 20 million of his own people through a system of harsh imprisonment (Gulags) and executions of dissenters.
The socialist revolution in Venezuela started under Hugo Chavez and carried on brutally by Nicolás Maduro turned Venezuela – the fourth wealthiest country in the world in the 1950s to one of the poorer nations with almost 90% of the population living in poverty?

Before Maduro was arrested by U.S. Troops, he excelled at stifling dissent through violent crackdowns of protesters, the arbitrary arrests of opposition figures, and strict censorship of independent media.
Dissenters in Fidel Castro’s Cuba faced systematic suppression, strict ideological control, and severe legal punishment. He banned opposition and outlawed alternative political parties, independent labor unions, and unauthorized human rights groups.
In China, Maoist socialism resulted in “radical agricultural collectivization and unrealistic quotas forced by the Chinese Communist Party led to the greatest famine in human history, causing an estimated 30 to 45 million deaths.

Mao mobilized fanatical Red Guards to target intellectuals, traditional culture, and political rivals, resulting in widespread terror, public torture, and millions of deaths or imprisonments.
Most people under 40 years old know little or nothing of these repressive regimes because they were never taught about them. The U.S. public education system is run by people who sympathize with socialists and liberals and prefer their students spend time learning of the failures of capitalism, rather than its innumerable successes.

Part II CHALLENGING SOCIALISTS NOW!
The job of challenging the DSA neo socialists falls to all those who believe in America’s historic greatness and ingenuity and its incredible ability to meet the demands of history.
We can start with exposing the hypocrisy of the neo-socialists running for office or supporting DSA candidates such as Abdul El Sayad of Michigan, and N.J. Rep. Annalia Mejia. How will they deliver what they promise the people? How much will it cost. Who pays? It is easy for them to promise working people they will do better under socialism; but delivering on the promises is pretty much impossible, as history has shown.
We must share the truth of socialism with our family, friends and neighbors — and especially with young people, who love the idea of getting free stuff from the government, but don’t have any clue as to the cost. What are our young people willing to give up in order to get a government paid apartments, or government- run grocery stores?
Ayaan Hirsi Ali, in reference to young people beguiled by socialism, said: “I caution young Americans that before they embrace neo socialism, they consider carefully not only its superficial attractions but also its fundamental drawbacks. Those who value individualism, meritocracy, and equality of opportunity will find these things in a capitalist system.”
America’s capitalism is not perfect, but it has repeatedly and dramatically transformed itself; wiping away injustice or exploitation and creating prosperity, better lives and new opportunities for millions of people. America overcame slavery, the Great Depression, and recessions – and battled worldwide tyranny and totalitarianism. Americans raised the standard of living for our people beyond that of any nation on earth. Even the poorest people in America have health care, housing, a cell phone, a modern television set and a car. (Don’t let the socialists tell you otherwise.). Meanwhile, many people in Cuba have electricity just two to four hours a day.
The competition inherent in American capitalism – and the freedom to pursue wealth – assures America’s inventiveness that supports a standard of living that is unavailable elsewhere in the world. Just take a look at how many visitors to the U.S. for the 2026 World Cup marveled at the bounty offered by America – from the variety available at food stores to the products for sale at Walmart. Choices and affordability abound.
Leftists must be challenged; their ideology must be exposed; the history of socialism must be presented to the people most vulnerable to falling into its trap. Don’t wait and hope other people with do the challenging. We all must do our part. Talk to people about intellectual fraud coming from new Democrat/socialists. More importantly, get your friends, neighbors, co-workers to the polls to protect their future and America’s future.
This is an election we cannot sit out.
