More than two decades of one-party liberal Democrat rule has made NJ not only one of the most expensive state’s to live in , but the worst state to retire in – according to carescout.com/resources.
The hardship for the Garden State residents is a result of confiscatory taxes imposed by governments at every level to fund bloated, inefficient and corrupt operations that favors public union bosses over hard-working middle class families – favors those who refuse to work over those who work hard – favors funding a bureaucratic labyrinth of divisions, department, committees and agencies staffed largely by incompetents whose hiring is connected to their political patrons.
Some Trenton lawmakers are at least capable of recognizing the devastating impact of their decades-long fiscal irresponsibility. But, when Democrat leaders in the state legislature tried to help retirees stave off bankruptcy with a Stay NJ property tax rebate plan, the liberal wing of the party could not help but squeeze the life out of it – and cut the proposed property tax savings plan to a level slightly above meaningless. Why did they do that? Because they don’t believe decades of hard work should be rewarded with tax relief; because the more money that goes into tax relief – the less money goes into wasteful programs for the urban underclass and the politically connected cadres well dressed, college educated professional thieves who fund Democratic campaigns. NJ has gone from being a national joke on late night TV, to being a national tragedy and a great example of what liberal socialist Democrats can do to a state…. And then to a country.
